Believe it or not, according to university studies, a late season snowstorm can add bushels to the grain tank.
Mother nature has an incredible ability to add nutrients to our soils with late spring snowfall. Six inches of new snow
within 30 days of planting will add natural nitrogen and micronutrients easily available to our newly planted corn crop. This translates into faster emergence, greener plants, better root establishments. Remember to plant your corn in the sweet spot of 2 – 2 1/4 inches deep and adjust down pressure to minimize sidewall compaction.
Follow your prescribed cropping plan for maximum yield advantage of each individual hybrid.
